Trevor Worth, chief executive of Portcullis Legals and vice president of, is opening a UK version of this spring. Mr. Worth said the UK edition of LawyerLocate will operate on “exactly the same model” as the Canadian version according to Legal Futures. Mr. Worth mentions, “The Canadian site has a 15-year history. They’ve been doing this for years and they know what they’re doing.”

Members of benefit from 3,000 unique visitors every day, as well as online and offline advertising. People in search of legal counsel can browse’s directory or request a suitable lawyer.

Overall, the main goal of is to save valuable (billable) time for its members. Mr. Worth explains how the UK version will do the same, “One of the benefits is that we will pre-screen clients and pass them to the appropriate firm, which stops time-wasting.”

It costs £90 per month to sign up with was formed during Mr. Worth’s family vacation to Canada. While away, he attended an event to celebrate the referral service becoming a Google Partner.
